Default do 93-96 tail lights require a wiring harness when put on a 98+ camaro

just like the title says. i've got a 2000 camaro and am wantin to put the LT1 style taillights on it. ive heard that if i put the older lights on it, i'll hafta use the older harness as well? this true?

i dont see why....it's only the tail light lense and housing im gettin, not actually changin the lightbulbs themselves. cant you just put the existing light bulbs into the slots on the older LT1 lights (just plug and play)?

i mean the bulbs are stil gonna come on. the blubs come on regardless of whether or not they are sittin in the slots on the taillight. so why should it matter if the same bulbs are in a different light, they're still gonna come on?

You will just need to open up the slots were the socket fits into a bit. You will see it once you try to install them. Takes no more than 5 mins to accomplish.

I kind of like the 97+ tail lights more than my 93-96 style lights. If anyone wants to trade let me know.
