Default thoughts on this cam 228/229 .591/.591 112 LSA??

I have a friend who recently got a 402 so he is selling his old cam..I was thinking about getting something in the high 220 or low 230 range so i am thinking that this cam will probably be about right for what i am looking for. I don't want a huge cam because i do much more street driving then drag racing and i have noticed that many people seem to get pretty good results with a mid-sized cam as long as they have pretty good heads, so this brings me to my next question...which heads would compliment this cam really well?? Any help would be appreciated..thanks

that cam is just a lil smaller then mine. I have a Futral F13 which is 230/232 and .595/.585 with a 112 LSA. I daily drive my car with a nitrous tune on this cam with stock heads and made 385rwhp, 406rwhp on a NA tune. I think ull be happy with this cam for the street since ur getting a deal on it

yeah i figured it would be a pretty decent cam especially since that when he had it with aftermarket heads he was trapping at about 123mph in the quarter and was running low 11's..plus im getting it for only $50

I think the terminators are going to be your best bang for your buck.

thats kinda what i am thinking..I really want AFR's or TFS heads but they are a lil out of my price range but the terminators are priced about right..the only problem is that hardly anyone is running them so i really dont know how good they really are

Well, look at it this way. They have a fantastic sized intake runner(200cc) and have an excellent port design created by Casey Schnider from S.A.M(do a search about them, they are ridiculous when it comes to heads ) and they start out life as an Edlebrock casting. So look at it like this, aftermarket casting, sick *** port design, and a great intake runner for great port velocity(torque)
So if you think about it, they're a bargain at 1800

yeah those are all the reasons why I am seriously considering them and the price isn't to bad..I dunno i will decide on some heads pretty soon but right now they are probably at the top of my list

TSP LS6 Heads are good value for the price(or any of the other "budget" heads out there now for that matter). I see you have a M6. Might want to look harder at the budget heads and reroute the dough to your Rear End fund that you will definitely need going down the path you are with that cam
