Default belt started squealing soon after supercharger went on

from the look of it the tensioner seems to be barely preloaded, and I was thinking this may be the cause, but even when I pull on it by hand it doesnt stop. of course the belt may just be toast by now, and that could be making it impossible to fix by tightening it up.

the other thought was the internal belt in the blower itself(its a powerdyne 6psi) because it was sitting for a few years before I installed it. Is it a ribbed belt like like a regular drive belt? or is it cogged?

has anyone had any problems like this if so what was the fix? I know that I will have to change the belt no matter what, but I want to try to fix the problem rather than do a belt change that is such a PITA then have to do one right after that...

thanks in advance
troy
