Question on installing 98 longblock in 2000 fbody
I tried searching but couldn't find a good answer to my question. I hydrolocked the engine in my 2000 Trans Am a few weeks ago. Now, I'm getting a lonblock from a 98 Trans Am to swap into my car. Is there anything that needs to be changed (wiring, hoses, etc.) or should everything line up and connect exactly the same? Thanks

The camshafts are slightly different, but that doesn't matter.
The 98 heads have perimeter bolt valve covers and 99+ have center bolt. You'll need 99+ valve covers and coil brackets.
Everything else in the longblock is the same.
There's a sticky somewhere that tells all the differences between years.
