2nd gear went out what is my next step. Its like i was just driving it and it was doing fine, but when i went to race it, i launched and took off and then shifted into second and their it was, no second gear. what is my next step. I was trying to downshift to second and it went in and it budged and then it started to make a noise like its trying to get in gear but it dont. TELL ME WHAT I NEED TO DO PLEASE

Take it to a reputable transmission shop and have them take a look at it. They'll be able to tell you whats wrong, and rebuild/fix/replace the trans if necessary.
Don't go to Aamco unless you have to - I went there to get an estimate on my trans and they were total ********

If you have a reputable local shop, have them take a look at it. If not try T-56 Rebuilds (See Sponsor List). I met Joe at the LS1Tech N vs S event. Nice guy and knows his stuff. He rebuilt Tim Tosto's Tranny that night as he messed up 2nd gear too. When it comes time, my trans will be going to Joe for a refresh.

thanks thanks for the advice. I hope it aint nothing that major, i was just about to do a cam. but that transmission just about to hurt my pockets. thanks you guys. by the way, i am located in new orleans la. just let me know if you all have any other ideas thanks, I love this site.
