Default LS6 Intake

I have been told I do and don't have an LS6 intake on my 2000 Z28 I thought I did because the EGR has been re-tapped with a bigger fitting which I removed and blocked off but I do have the hoses that go underneath the manifold which could be there if someone grinded the bottom of the manifold to put them there but are there any numbers on the manifold anywhere that tell me like a serial # or some **** like that I dunno... any help would be nice

2000 you should NOT have an LS6 intake. EGR = LS1 Intake from the factory. There is an aftermarket LS6 with EGR for what it's worth. Sounds like you're talking about coolant lines. LS1 intakes have them. Part # should be on the drivers side between #3 and #5 injector. 98-2000 does not have LS6. 2001-02 F-bodies do.

I know but someone may have rigged this stuff on and ground down the bottom of the manifold to fit those pipes and why else would they re-tap the egr and put a different valve in there whoever had this car before me did some pretty weird **** to it so it wouldnt surprise me one bit if they did do this I just need to know if there are any numbers on the manifold itself a guy I know with 2 zo6s has the same numbers on the drivers side of the manifold as mine so I dunno...

The stock LS6 PN on mine is on the drivers side, center of the intake, easy to find.

Edit: Post the part number.

Both the LS1 & LS6 intake have a part number on them. The LS1's is half-way back on the passenger side and the LS6's is half-way back on the driver's side.

If it's got the same number as two different Z06's then it's a LS6 intake. 2000 didn't come stock with the LS6 intake. It is possible to run the LS1 style coolant lines underneath the intake with just grinding the ridges.

i have heard of people who cut the bottom of the ls6 alittle to use the ls1 (better) water passage. if i get the ls6 im keeping the ls1 vent tubes. and slp ls6's have an option of egr. though its rare, another way to see is look at the bottom if you can see the bottom. the ls1 has a slight wave to it and the ls6 is flat.

Just checked mine - 12561184, so it's a LS6 intake.
