Default Good Lifters for a H/C LS1?

rhoads?
eaton?
comp r?
ls7?
fresh stockers?
other?

good place to spend the extra bucks?

Looking for something to hold a good amount of open spring pressure (PP Gold Duals), about .650 lift.. will be spinning to 6600.

Never had a problem with comp r.I went 9.45 on the bottle with those bastards.

My buddy is running a stoker LS1 and he has CompR lifters too and he is very satisifed with them.

any of those will work i've used morels on a few. just make sure you set the proper preload for which ever one you go with.

Default lifters

Ive heard that the comp r's can be a PITA if you do not set the preload perfectly. I know a lot of fast cars including myself that are running the comp oe's.

My comp r were set at .015 preload and to get the proper preload we bought copper shimstock and put it under the rocker stand worked great.I also ran 20w50 motor oil that helps on the lifers in the higher rpms
