hey guys......
well, i wasn't sure where to post this, so since my car will be more drag than street, (although both), i was wondering if anyone knew the stock weight of an ls1 starter from a '99 car. i was told by Jeg's & Summit that the powermaster mini-starter is supposed to weigh 9 lbs.
my first car, a '79 TA, i had to change the starter a number of times thanks to heat soak from the headers, and i remember that was a 2 hand job if you didn't get the bolts in on the first or second try because my arm would be so damn tired from holding it up that i'd have to take a minute to rest it!!! :judge: :jest: LOL. the good ole days. anyway, a freind of mine said his ministarter for his ford was Super light and an easy 1 hand job.
anyway, let me know if you know.
thanks,
Dave
