I dont really know dave but I know who he is and see him around. I was at richmond dragway tonight and yes he did hit the wall HARD. He is ok but his car looked pretty trashed. Im sure he will chime in and tell all the details. Like I said I dont really know him so I dont wanna say much.

Today is the day Joe Arney cries. Can someone make that a song?

I told Corey to text you

From what I heard:
David ran down the track, 10.3 @ god speed... at the end of the track (something may have been layed down by a previous car) david gets into the grass, comes back across the track and hits the wall pretty much head on. He hit is with so much force it kinda lifted the car off the ground landing it on the left rear (no positive on which side, it may have been right).

All in all, the looks of the car is that it's totalled. sad sad day for david it really sucks.

David is ok... i can imagine a little shook up. But he was alright.

Stole that from a local website. Sucks.

IMO the wreck was NOT his fault, i was there, somebody in the lanes complained about the left lane (the lane he was in) having oil on it and i think thats what he got into as soon as he crossed the 1/4 mark

i was there and yes he did, i was in the lanes and missed the crash...BUT i did see a video of it about 2 min after it happened. the car left home nicely, and as soon as he crossed the stripe it took a VERY hard right head on into the wall...

its hard to even look at the car because i can only imagine what david has in that car $ wise, not to mention moral attachment and time invested into such a GREAT CAR.

Man this **** spreads like wildfire.... I JUST walked in the door from the track.

I have video of the pass, dunno what can be seen since I havent reviewed it yet... have some pictures too ...but not tonight, I'm beat. The last time I ran a 1/4 mile I swear the police must have been after me.

Basically after talking to david soon as the car came back to the pits, I asked him if he was ok and got some reasurance from him, that he was. Not used to seeing a friend crash like that.

The car's back end got sideways to the left and he chased it to correct it. However then put him into the edge of the track next to the gravel which threw him directly to the right head on with the wall which he hit.

The guy he was racing was also a friend of mine and davids and it scared the **** out of him as he looked back to see david coming up his *** and then he saw the car go up.

Damn, that sucks! But I'm glad he's ok. I don't know him other than from his posts on this board, but for those of us just now getting into the turbo LSx scene his "pioneering" has been invaluable.

Glad he's alright. Too bad that his car ate it though. I guess there's something that we all have to realize that when we race, we take a chance, and it can all be gone in seconds.

Not sure if he'd have full coverage insurance on the Mouse, not many insurance companies offer coverage on a car like that. (dollar amount for mods) I hope he can get back in the saddle soon. ~Joshua

A sad day for sure, there was a lot of blood/sweat/tears in that car......but he is ok so that's the important thing.

Also, for the record...I blame the track....there was definitely something down on the top end of the track...he hit it WOT in 4th and there wasn't much that could be done.

That track does not invest a PENNY in their clean up crew, or any part of their dragstrip for that matter. All the guys that go there need to start going to VMP...yeah its a longer ride for most of you guys, BUT you get MORE RUNS and its MUCH safer, and the cars hoook WAY better....Richmond Dragway is a greedy family owned buisness that dosent spend any money on the track at all, the lighting there SUCKS, the track felt bumpy and the pits are loose gravel.....VMP is MUCH nicer but a slighly longer drive...but its worth it IMO....tonight is a prime example of why you guys shouldnt run there anymore....when i was 11 years old i saw a fatal wreck there and the people say that it was oil on the track that they knew about......

trashing your car at the drag strip is like beating your child that is unless its the stips fault for not keeping the track clean then its like someone else beating your child. (take this like its typed, dry humor) hope your ok. i know first hand what its like to wreck a "one of your children".

My Condolences,
