Well tonight I took my WS6 out(I'm loving this car so much right now) for some cruising with my friends. All together we had my WS6, 03' GT, and a 96' Z28. We pull into the local hangout and meet with some other buddies of ours and they start coming to look at my WS6. Well a 03 350Z pulls into the parking lot with some other cars and revs up. Well he parks his car and keeps revving, so as Im still in my car, I start it up and rev up also and this draws some attentions from him. He comes over and asks who's car it is because I am out of it and I say myn. He then starts talking saying he can pull WS6's and SS's all day long. I ask what he has and he says intake, exhaust, and clutch. I laughing say that he cant beat a LS1 with same mods. He then asks what I have and I say just i/e(I didnt mention the LS6 cam or 3.73's). He then wants to race me and I accept. Well me and him go to a spot with our friends to line them up. I warm up my DR's as I had just got them today from a friend and line up. He does a burnout and comes up also. I rev up to about 3000 and wait for the flagger. He drops his hands and I jump instantly about 3 cars and never look back. I had to be train lengths on this guy. I come back and we head out to a gas station nearby as I needed some gas. I pull in and park at the pump and the guy in the 350Z comes up to me and says I'll have my nitrous kit on soon, Ill run you after I get that and my car needs to be tuned also . I tell him ok and let him get on his way. I fill my tank up, and go get something to eat with my friends and tell them about the nitrous and tuning remark and they couldnt stop laughing. One of my buddies said if he does get nitrous, just pull the Cobra out .

How you like dem' DR's? Warm 'em up and they stick pretty good on the street (at least that's what I think)

yeah nice kill... and sweet rides I would have loved to see a vid of the entire thing from the z's perspective watch his expression change as you take off like a raped ape... leaving him to ponder... were those other ws6's ans ss's actually racing or just cruising along side of me???

Since when do 350Z's pull LS1s? Thats a good one. I dont even think they can pull a stock SRT4 or Cobalt SS!

I hate 350Z owners, although I own an 05 Anniversary Edition 350Z. (more of the wifey's ride ) It's a peppy car. I can still sip my coffe while flooring it type peppy. It don't see why these 350Z punks even bother trying to race LS1's or something faster. They all need to learn the hard way.

350z owners are "different" lol. I ran one when my GTP was modded was pretty funny, i got him by 1.5 carlengths by the time he shifted to 2nd but he missed 3rd. At the next light he didn't say anything about me beating him, his excuse was he missed a gear whatever i had you beat before the light turned green.

i test drove one yesterday- i was at the dealership with a friend and ran into a cool sales guy who was into letting me take it out and whoop on it. that thing is not very fast at all. i would floor it, continue with my conversation, flat shift to the next gear, continue with my conversation etc...

fun little car, shifted like butta and handled awesome. i don't see how it could even come close to a stock ls1 in a drag race however.

Its a shame really. How hard would it be for Nissan to maker a 560Z? They have the emmisions compliant V8 right there in the Titan. IIRC they also have a 4.5 V8 for Infinities. The car is too damn heavy to compete with other cars in its class using the V6 IMHO. Maybe they will sell a turbo version when they get the Skyline figured out. Either way would be better than now.

Yah I'm really liking the DR's. But every car I always get, I always put DR's on. One of the best investments I think. I like the BFG's on my Cobra better than the Nittos on my WS6 though.

I remember I was at a red light going to turn left, there was a 350z that was trying to show off and peeled out/skid to turn right... little did he know a cop was right bhind him and he got pulled over. soooo funny

your exactly right i rolled one on the highway a couple months ago from 30-120. i had a passenger he didn't. He got the hit and pulled out a car but by the end i caught him. It was dead even.

I've seen a stock 350z dyno, they make right around 240whp, and I saw a lightly modded lt1 dyno 260whp (he said all he had was an exhuast and he was able to tune through his laptop, not sure the program you guy's use). Actually while we're at it, lol, that same day a new mustang gt dyno'd and also made around 260whp (fully stock), the lt1 guy was very pleased that he made such similar power figure's and only got his car for 5k.

Now that's an lt1 compared to a 350z (i threw in the mustang for fun since it happened to be there the same day). Ls1's dyno around 300whp don't they? I'm not really sure how the 350z compare's in weight but yeah, I def. think the ls1 is in a whole dif. league from a 350z, they are nice car's but you guy's can def. have a lot of fun with them if you happen to see one on the side of you, lol. Let them do all the talking

yep, my '98 TA dynoed 311RWHP/327RWTQ w/ just a catback back when I had it. Also used to have a '94Z28 dyno 271RWHP w/ CAI and blowmaster. I wonder what the torque figure is on the 350.

my 02 Z28 with lid only got 318 rwhp @ 333 tq, i ran a 350z awhile back from a high roll and got him, i slowed down and he did the ricer fly by, oh well, but they do look decent
