Default how long will this last????

Right know i have a stock 2000 Z28 and it has a P1sc with twin intercoolers on it i was going to get a forged 347 set up but the guy is not going to sell the motor now, so plans must change, i have 42lbs injecters and an upgraded fuel pump, i want to get the blower cam that bob from EPP sells on here and some 6.0 heads i want to run 6or 7 lbs of boost. How long do you guys think the stock bottem end will stay together??? this car will be a EVEYDAY driver so i need it to last for atleast 1 more year. the car has 60,xxx on it now. I plan to rebild the trans. then save for the froged motor later .
how long can i run this setup and not worry about blowing it up if i take it easy on it.
thanks Ricky

Plan that you are going to run it hard first.Personally I wouldn't dump too much $$ into a stock shortblock setup.Probly a Cam with some bleed off.Save the head $$ for the built shortblock

I ussually run 500rwhp safely on a stock shortblock.

Great choice on the cam If you keep the power levels around 500rwhp you can keep her alive for a while. Just depends on how you drive it. If its stoplight to stoplight wide open, then that would have an effect on it. Also, long highspeed pulls do a number on stock motors. The non-forged pistons cant take the heat for that long.

I agree, it seems like with a stock shortblock we can get away with 8 psi and a cam, and 500 rwhp is still safe, but I don't like to normally push the stock shortblock any higher. Bob

That is about where I am with my stock bottom end. I am not going into boost/racing every jackass at every stoplight either.
