4l80e swap, shift linkeage for stock shifter...
Basically, can anyone chime on what exactly i need to do to have the stock shifter match up to the 4l80e i have waiting to be installed?
I will be using the BS3 for the trans controller and would like to use the stock shifter, aesthetic reasons, with this trans...
thanks!!

Put the shifter in Park. Put the trans in Park(lever all the way forward) Snap the cable onto the lever. Mark the bracket where a pan bolt is. Remove that bolt. Drill a hole in the bracket and put the bolt back in the pan thru the bracket. Should work out perfectly. There is some adjustment in the cable itself if you don't get it exact.

wow, thats it? I thought there would be a bit more involved then line it up and drill.
Thanks, I dont have the car with me right now so its hard to see what you mean, however, your method seems pretty straight foward. As long as the shifter can actuate the shifts in the 4l80e, i happy...
thanks again..
