Default Zoom clutches

I did some searching and it seems that there is not much info around here on zoom clutches. I can get a complete setup for decently cheap and would like to know if anyone has info on these. Anybody run one? know someone who has? Clamping force? holding power? chatter? Once tuned I should be near the mid 400's in Hp.

Clutches are a pretty sticky subject (no pun intended ). I haven't heard of anything on these. Usually, a clutch will take off in popularity after someone bites the bullet and provides the feedback. Sounds like you are the man!

Well I hate to spend money on something if it's not proven. I just don't want to shell out all the cash and have a phukt clutch a week later.

It wasn't so much the money to me as it was my time...replacing a clutch is a bitch of a job no matter how you look at it. Either you kill yourself doing it, or you pay out the *** to have it done.

Well I was going to go LS7 for a while but, I don't want the heavy *** flywheel and dont' want to pay for the lightweight ls2 wheel. I keep coming back to this zoom. It looks like a quality item. I would really like to have some input from someone who has had experience with these.

I would say no, if you want reliability. Go with something proven if it is a DD with few bolt ons. A LS6 clutuch is pretty cheap and proven with the stock HP and maybe headers and intake. Anything more than about 400HP you are going to need something like the LS7 or a RAM or Textralia Clutch.

It's all about the money
