Default Video from Weekend of September 16th

Nothing really special. First run was to brake in new gears - took the 3.73 out last time at the track - I have a 4series spool and the 3.73's are the only 3series that will fit. Big head wind. Still ran a 9.26 at 144mph. Turned up the boost. We're not really sure what happend, the car died off at about the 1000' mark. Seen oil pressure at 5psi. Shut motor off. Got the SS back to the pits. Seen the throttle cable bracket had bent. Fixed bracket. Started right up. Only 5psi at idle, 40-45 at partial throttle. Shut it off, and decided enough for the day. NO METAL IN THE OIL; took off the valve covers, everything looked great - again no metal what so ever. We'll check it out soon. Possibilities: oil pump took a crap at shut down; gas dumped into the oil (not allow the SS's normal 40psi at idle).

This was the last weekend for our track. -- Temp on Saturday was mid-70's with a 25-40mph head wind. Sunday - 45, with even more wind. A half dozen storms in our half of the state. Nothing unusual for South Dakota this time of the year. We are hoping to travel to a couple tracks to the south once the shop's Twin-turbo Mustang is up and running.

Anyway here's a couple videos:

What were the 1/8th mile differences from when you turned it up?

Hope the motor is okay man!

Great times though! What boost did you hit on the pass where things went bad? What was the 60, 330 and 1/8 et/mph as well?

Thanks everyone. I'll let you know on the oil pressure.

Don't have the time slip for the 9.9 run. Was busy with getting the car back to the pits and didn't pick up the slip. Joey said it spun really bad out of the hole, so I doubt the 60' and 1/8 were very good. Believe he said that most boost seen was 15lbs. I have to get the speed sensor hooked up. That way I'll be able to leave on basically 8lbs (as usual) and than add boost down the track.

Love the SS. Leaves straight as an arrow since I changed back to Hoosiers. No idea why the car likes the Hoosiers over M/T.

Yea it sucks we're closed but with gas prices dropping you never know where we'll go for a weekend.

Kyle we talked to Moser, the rep said the only thing made for a 4ser is the 3.73. I haven't found anything else. Don't really want to change over to a 3ser. I'll have to see what the winter brings, maybe a 9" in the forecast.
