Default Front Sway Bar Quick Disconnects

Does anyone make quick disconnect end links for the front sway bar on a F-body? I'd like to have my cake and eat it too (street/strip).

a pair of energy suspension end links, remove one end link, teh car will transferr the weight like it's off the car.... but will not have the weight savings. Those end links are alot easier to remove then the stock ones are.

That's about as good as you'll get probably without fabbing something up.

But a quick disconnect would save at least 2 minutes

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm looking for something that is real easy to use. I'm not a big fan of having to do alot of work on the car after I get to the track, and I definately don't want to have to drive 2 hrs to the nearest track without a sway bar.

I've been looking online and I think I might have found a 4x4 guy that will custom make a set that would work. Here is the link http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTri...#DisconnectsV2 The stock f-body end link are about 4 inches center to center. I'm going to try and give him a call later in the week to check it out. Who knows I might just make my own.

Take it off the day before you drive to the track. Install it when you get home.

Or just quit being a puss and take it off for good. Thank me later.

^^Nothing personal BTW.

if the track was a little closer to the house and wasnt in the mountains where the roads are all curvy and up and down and **** it would be a totally different story man that thing would already be gone

Now you're talking!!! I discussed this with folks like 5-6 years ago. If I were you I'd send him some endlinks and see how much it will cost for him to make them.

This would be a cool product innovation. Good job!

You could just discoonnect the bar on one side too.

personally mine's been off for so long I don't even think I remember what it drove like with it on LOL. Plus, with slicks/skinnies on all the time, handling is pretty much out anyway LOL.

Same here. I timed myself one time [I was bored] took me 11min including jacking up the car. Now with the BMR K-member I could probobly cut that down some, its easyer to get to the bolt from under the A-arm.

I just leave mine off and run adjustable shocks up front stiff for the road and loose for the track. With a light weight STB it handles just the same as the swaybar being on..

Yeah with adjustable shocks, set only mildly stiff you won't notice it too much in regular driving. Granted you can't carve corners at quite the same speed, but not hardly dangerous or anything.

I just pull mine off the day before, drive 3 hours round trip to the track, and bolt it back up the next day. Its a quick enough job, and taking the extra 15-20lbs off the nose is a nice feature too.

I have a set of JKS sway bar disconnects for my cherokee and I love them. I wish someone would make a similar design for the fbody.

Like others have said, just leave it off. The car will drive just fine unless you are trying to push it to the limits on the curves!

I've had mine off for 4+ years and don't even think about it until I crawl under the car to install/fix something.
