Question Quick Question about New Converter..

Alright, Just got the new converter in from Yank today. Its a Yank 3100 and it is looking pretty nice.

My question is I havent dealt with a dry converter before, so should it sound like something inside is loose? Or is that just the clutch?

Thanks guys!

Also... It sounds like there might be another small particle of metal bouncing around in there..

that might suck, didnt drop anything in mine but i did worry about what would happen if some debris got in it. i could feel the clutch if i shook it though, and it made a little noise, nothing more than expected though...

I think you should put some oil in it before installing it. Normally about a quart or so. Most new tc's when dry you will hear some noise. I'm sure yank will tell you the same.

Lol! The car has been up in the air for over 2 weeks now.. And just got the verter and I guess Im just paranoid. Cant imagine anything bad happening to it, and if it does it should be covered right? Bought it from Yank..

Yeah im deffinately going to be priming it before the install. Just finished removing the front seal on the trans which everybody has been telling me to replace. God that was a pain in the ***!

Anyways the verter will be going in tomorrow. Hopefully without any problems. The sound is probably nothing but the clutch, but like I said guess we will just have to throw her in and find out.

Thanks guys!

Also its alright if I use new bolts from Ace for the torque converter to flexplate right?
