Emergency Fuel Pump cutting out bc of a collision. Anyone heard f this ?
my neighbor was telling me about it. He had this happen on his ford where he hit a very large pothole and some sort of relay or kill switch cut off the fuel pump in case of an accident and a ruptured fuel line continuing to spew fuel . Has anyone ever heard of this and if so do you know where it is located ?

LS1 F-bodies dont have that, if the engine stops running the fuel pump stops - thats it. The fuel pump relay is controlled by the BCM (anti theft) and PCM plus an underhood relay.
Fords use an inertia switch, the new mustang I bought still has one, they have been using them for a long time.

yep, is called an in-er-sha (i dont know how to spell it but thats how it sounds) switch. when my mustang got rear ended it set off the switch, i just had to go in the trunk to reset it.
