Very cool!


Maybe it's just me, but I think it sounds a lot like an LSX based motor in that vid, which IMO is pretty cool.

i believe their old motor in the ccw was an lsx based 383. this one is made by Koenigsegg.

I wasn't implying that it was an LSX based motor, only that it sounded really simular IMO.

That interesting about the old motors though.

The CC had a Ford engine, The CCX has an Koenigsegg engine

Type: Koenigsegg V8 cast aluminium, 4 valves per cylinder, double overhead camshafts.
Displacement: 4.700 cm3
Compression: 8.2:1
Lubrication system: Dry sump with oil spray piston cooling.
Oil cooler.

Sequential, multipoint fuel injection. Twin Rotrex centrifugal superchargers with response system 1.2 bar boost pressure

Power output: 806 Bhp at 6.900 rpm
Maximum torque: 920 Nm (678ftlb) at 5.700 rpm.

Its Armen out for a test drive. The car was making its way across the US for a show and Armen who posts on FCHAT got to drive it. He has quite a collection and he probably has an order on one.

WTF

Some dude claims the car is running on jet fuel!!! Talk about rich dudes not knowing a thing about cars.I would love to see him fill it up with jet fuel and wonder why it does not run.How much for the rebuild?

Why wouldn't it run on jet fuel?

I dont' have a CCX but my camaro only runs on jet fuel with a small 93 blend.

No the Veyron is.. 1001 hp 253+mph

And the CC engine was a supercharged cobra motor, but then they took that design and went farther with it for the CCX. Still a 4.7 though if I remember correctly.

Uhh the Veyron has More HP yes .. But i could have sword I have Read ElseWhere about the New CCX Beging Faster IN TOP END. I thought the Old CCW was a LSX 383 Motor

Jet fuel? I doubt it. That is basically kerosene. You're saying your camaro runs on kerosene?

Veyron has gone 253 thus far, thats ten mph faster than the old CC.
