how do you guys make these? and out of what? alum sheet metal??

Good question, my opinion would be aluminum sheet metal as well, but i could be wrong. That looks good tho.

Other than being extremely dirty, heres a shot mine I built a few weeks ago.. .. .. 1/4" aluminum w/plastic wafered in between thin layers.

Took me all of 2 hours to make & paint.

Guess since it's my car I can answer that. That's a couple hundered $'s worth of real carbon fiber there infused under a vacuum with crystal clear resin and temperature cured. Took a LOT longer than 2 hours to make!!

I'm ALWAYS in the middle of a project, it's my hobby. The cover fits great with the polished BMR radiator support and the K&N FIPK. I'm thinking about selling the LS6 Hugger Orange intake and doing something else. Maybe a very "stealthy" blacked out look for the whole engine bay, with touches of chrome/polish of course, don't know yet.
