Default 3/4 clutch pack clearance specs?

I keep seeing different answers. This is with the 8 clutches.
TCI says .050-.065
but i've seen .0.25-.035 as some answers on here.
GM says travel should be (0.083-0.035 in).

I have heard .035 so that there is less play and less chance of snapping the ears off the input drum...

If you are using the Corvette (LS1) servo, and adjust the 2-4 band clearance at a minimum, & no Trans-Go shift kit, then .045" - .055" should work. If you are using the Trans-Go shift kit, then .025" - .035" should work. If you have the transmission apart, change the 5 finger apply piston from a #7 or no number, to a #4. This will lessen the chances of a 2-3 WOT shift flare.
