Default stock crankshaft 6.0l

How much power will a stock 6.0l crankshaft take. IM wanting to make 750-800 flywheel hp , 900-1000 flywheel once in a blue moon. I will be running a 3.3L intercooled whipple @16-22lbs of boost. I've made 963 flywheel hp @ 18psi with the same supercharger/IC on a gen1 383 with a forged crankshaft. THANKS, JARRETT

This is a place where search can be your friend (it's working quite well right now). A stock crank is good to about 500 HP by most accounts, beyond that, it's time to think forged steel crank with forged rods and pistons. What is your plan for your vehicle? You need to be thinking about transmission, rear axel and driveshaft too.

stock ls1 crank is rated over 800 rwhp and has even seen 1000rwhp not to be trusted but just to prove it can

For how much power they can take... put it this way. It would be difficult to count the number of LS1 crankshaft failures on one hand.

There are a number of people making 1000rwhp with stock crank and forged rods without failure running in the 8's with 3200-3800lb F-bodies using LS1/LS2 blocks. If you have the coin though and plan to push these levels all the time a forged crank is a wise investment.

LS1 aluminum blocks when pushed beyond 600-700rwhp seem to lose ring seal if driven a a few thousand hard miles. Something about the bores needing to be honed and new rings installed. Going to an LS2 alum block was the fix that many people went to. I don't think there are any problems with iron blocks losing ring seal.

Yes stock crank can take it. First trial fit your motor (blueprint assembly)> dissasemble and take the crank to a cryogenic lab>treat the crank> If you brake it after that, my name is not Mark

What exactly do they do in the cryogenic lab to the poor crank?
