Default a4 to m6 converstion

is this more trouble then its worth.

what all do I need to do the converstion?

Read the sticky thread in the manual trans forum, it has more than the one in this forum.
I did the swap. Some people are going to tell you just to trade the car in, some will say an a4 is faster, everyone will say an m6 will break the rear easier, etc, etc, etc, etc. I know this because I've done the swap and seen the same question asked here several times.

i looked into it and decided what money and work that had to go into it was NOT worth it...so i decided against it, also i already have 3:73 gears so i dont wanna have to change AGAIN when i start to cam mine

It cost me $2800 to do the trans and gears. I got a transmission and crossmember with about 1000 less miles than was on the car and everything else new. The transmission swap took about 14 hours. Well worth it IMO especially if you can do the work on your own and you like doing stuff like that.
