My setup below. I'm in Ohio, but car would probably pass in California. With the pulley I'm probably at about 385 rwhp now, with a conservative cam and the cats in the stock positions. Even in California, I would guess if you pushed it a little on the cam (maybe 224/114) and added a cutout over and above my setup you could hit 400 rwhp.

Passing the sniff test in CA (Bay Area) and on 91 octane gas >> 462rwhp. Yes, the supercharger helps a lot...

OBDII scan makes passing very easy if you have Edit so long as you don't have a visual to pass. You can get by with no cats no problem. O2 simms and the proper tuning to keep SES lights away from cam related PO300s, and you're all set. ORYs are great!

My car looks/acts/drives/sounds stock, and it made 393rwhp. I'm sure its emissions friendly, and any visual would be no problem as my exhaust is 100% oem stock. Heads/cam without headers or any exhaust mods is fun, its like having a stock car with 90 more rwhp. No smelly exhaust, no noise, no less ground clearance, no resonation, etc.

Of course, if I had money for headers I'd buy some for sure , but for now I'll just enjoy the stealthy ride.

I reached 387rwhp, with the TR224, RT cats, and tuning. Never got emissions testing, but I'm sure I would have passed.

That depends on where you live, and the test. There are plenty of H/C packages that will pass a sniffer. I have a friend who passes the Texas emissions test with a MTI H/C car equipped with a Hammer Cam. In fact it tests much cleaner than it did stock.

All the Lingenfelter stuff passes...

The Cartek IIx pacakges are reported to have passed emissions tests.

Where are you at, what kind of test is it.
OBDII read, sniffer, or sniffer/dyno.

Will the scan detect deleted codes? I had my pcm tuned with rear 02s deleted, egr deleted and the parameters changed for random misfires. Next year I will need to do the ODBII and I know very little about what the scan can detect.

Thanks,

Mike

Mike you cant delete codes, that will send up a flag when testing. You need to have all functions there and change parameters with LS1 edit to keep away missfires. Egr will have to be functional.

There's no such thing as 'deleting' codes, LS1edit just disables the PCM's ability to set a code when something fails. I have my rear o2's 'deleted' and I passed the ODBII test without issue. Took 5 minutes.
