Default What do you think this is?

Well exactly 2 weeks today, I was driving home on the highway. I heard a lttle tick coming from the motor, which I thought was a header leak at the time. Then as I was starting to exit the highway, I gave it alttle gas, and I lost all oil pressure and it started to knock. I shut the car off right away. Well today I pulled the motor and dropped the pain and this is what I found in the oil pan. The pics are the bigger pieces, and there was a **** load of metal pieces in the bottom of the oil pan. It was thin metal. Just wondering what it was. My rings are shot too.

It's hard to say. Whatever it was got chewed up pretty good.

Do you have photos with the roasted crude oil rinsed off?

What was the oil pressure doing while this went down?

As soon as I touched the gas to speed up, the oil pressure went to zero and it stared knocking. Knocked twice and I turned it off.
