Default head gasket replacements?

I'll be upgrading to Patriot ported 243s and the f13 cam soon. Will I need new head gaskets? If so, will GM replacements do? I've of leak issues with some Cometics plus they're far more expensive. Thanks!

I cant be certain but I think they stopped shipping with new gaskets a while back. My friend has had good luck with mr. gasket .042 composite gaskets at ~20 each. You can get GM 5.7L gaskets for ~25 for the set, or 6.0L gaskets for ~35. The 6.0L gaskets are .054" thick, and the GM 5.7L gaskets are advertised as .060, but usually measure at or around .054 as well. If you have the P to V clearance, the .042 gaskets will get you a tighter quench and a bit more compression.

If that's $35 for the set of 6.0L gaskets, can you point me in the right direction where you go them? I haven't been able to find that good of a price.

The part number is 12498544 for a set of two 2002-2004 LS1 Corvette/Camaro/Firebird Gaskets.
