Default stock 98 z28 first real upgrade

Ok So I've Got A 98 Z28 And It Is Stock I Was Considering Puting A Ls2 Intake Manifold With An 85 Mm Throttle Body & Changing The Injectors Along With A Cat Back Exhaust, But I Was Recently Told That A Electronic Shift Kit Along With 3:73 Rear Gears And The Cat Back Exhaust Would Be A Better Way To Go. Both Will Cost Me About The Same. So Does Any Body Out There Have Any Suggestions On Which Way I Should Go? Also Im Trying To Stay Around The 1,000 To 1,500 $ Range.

Get a stall converter. That is the first thing you or anybody else that has a automatic should get. A good stall should will run you about $600 then another $250-$300 for install and with the rest get some good tires cause you are gonna need them. Those two things will put a smile on your face everytime you drive.

I ALREADY HAVE THE K&N C.A.I. I HAVE ALSO PORTED OUT MY THROTTLE BODY AND IM USING A HYPERTECH PERFORMER, IM DEFFENETLY GOING TO LOOK IN TO A STALL THIS WEEK, BUT WOULD THE SHIFT KIT & 3.73 REAR GEARS ALONG WITH THE CAT BACK STILL BE GOOD WAY TO GO WITH THE STALL? OR SHOULD I JUST GET THE LS6 INTAKE WITH AN 85 MM THOTTLE BODY ALONG WITH THE STALL? ALSO WHAT KIND OF STALL SHOULD I BE LOOKING FOR. JUST FOR YOUR INFORMATION IM LOOKING FOR THE WEEKEND WARRIOR STREET RACING ALONG WITH THE OCCATIONAL TRACK RUN WHERE I WOULD LIKE TO SEE LOW 13s IF POSSIBLE & SOMTHING THAT WOULD KEEP ME HAPPY FOR ATLEAST A YEAR WHILLE I SAVE MORE $

ALWAYS GO 1 SIZE BIGGER THAN YOU WANT FOR A STALL!!!

GET ABOUT A 3500 MAYBE 3600S TALL WITH A TRANNY COOLER, AND LS6 INTAKE AND DITCH THE HYPERTECH TIS HURTING YOUR PERFORMANCE IF YOU GOT THE POWER TUNING ON IT THAT SHOULD BE GOOD FOR 12'S WITH TIRES

Should be 12s no problem with a 3500/3600 stall and some sticky meats on the back.
