Default pollution control error

Hi boys and girls

My T/A is throwing a pollution control error when I floor it.
When I took it to the shop, they said it was a pollution control error.

Is there a way to remove the pollution control?

Or is there a way I can have this error disabled so its not popping up all the time?

Yes I could spend money and fix it, but if there's no environmental laws here... why throw money into somethign that's not needed...

I'm afraid that if I keep ignoring it, the car may throw another code and I won't know it because of this constant pollution control message.

Did the shop tell you what the code(s) were? Really need that to help answer your question. Also a little info on your car, I suggest making a small signature - had to look back at some of your posts - 2001 mostly stock? I agree you shouldn't run around with a constant SES light, something else could happen and you wouldn't even be aware of it.
