Default Whats the biggest cam

I'm trying to find out whats the biggest cam I can run in a ls1 without having to flycut the pistons, I want to get as much as I can out of itwith a cam and intake to start, then in spring, a set of heads. Also, is this LG g5x3 cam a custom grind, cause I haven't found out a lot about it. Thanks

The T-Rex is as big as you can go on stock heads Just make sure you upgrade your valvetrain and get a converter to match it

If you plan on heads later on, you may have to flycut. The Trex is ok with stock unmilled heads. But with most aftermarket ones you'll have to flycut. Sometimes better heads and higher SCR will allow a milder cam to make more power without the need of flycutting.

But remember dirvebilty and use of the car is important. A wild cam setup may just end up being a pig if it doesn't suit your needs.

LG don't disclose their cam profiles, although with a little searching I'm sure you can find some out.

A custom grind however may be a better bet.

If you are on a budget, TSP offer some great deals. PRC heads are only $1k and they offer the Ms4 cam. There is the new Terminator heads, but they require flycutting for the MS4. However a recent dyno made over 480rwhp on such a setup.

no, you can get stage one heads- stock sized valve, unmilled heads to match without flycutting also. if you get just the cam and pushrods then order assembled stage 1's with prc springs youd save some hassle of changing the spirngs also.

G5X3 is a 234/242
What you need to look at is "under the curve power, not just "peak"
