Pushrod Length???
OK, so here is the deal. I bought a Lingenfelter GT2-3 cam for my LS1. I have researched the base circle dimensions of my cam (19.7mm) the 02+ LS6 cam (19.0mm - which uses the .6mm or .023622" longer valves to compensate) and my cam--by measurement (18.75mm). My head tells me that since I'm using the shorter valves and a smaller base circle cam I should buy pushrods that are .025" longer than stock. Stock length is 7.400".
Does anyone have experience with this? I called Lingenfelter and they tell me that I'll be fine using the stock 7.400s but I noticed that a lot of the truck guys are saying that they get clacking....which I definitely don't want...now or 10,000 miles from now. .025" isn't that much longer and I plan on buying hardened pushrods anyway, so I'm leaning toward buying 7.425" pushrods.....
Your comments are welcome and appreciated!

pull a pushrod and measure it with a micrometer. I believe that the actual length is 7.385 in. In which case you would want a 7.410 in. If you can't find ones that length then 7.400 would be fine. Unless my math is completely wrong...

7.900? this must be including the ball ends which as I understand it is NOT how they actually measure them..

I gave that a lot of thought. Ended up buying the GM MLS gasket. I have heard too many problems with the Cometics....Not to mention the price! People really love those or hate those. I have heard of too many coolant leaks due to stamping problems.
