Default How about this cam??

Looking at a new custom cam for the 5.3 in my TRUCK.

Setup is full bolts on and exhaust, Stage 1 heads, 9.85:1 SCR, LS6 intake, 3000 rpm converter and 4.10 gears.

Here are the specs 220/218, .581/.563, 111+0

Intake lobe is XER 3720, exhaust is XE 3712

Valve events @ .006
IVO - 23.5
IVC - 65.5
EVO - 65.5
EVC - 25.5
ECL - 110
Overlap - 48

Valve events @ .050
IVO - -1
IVC - 41
EVO - 40
EVC - -2
ECL - 111
Overlap - -3

The goal is a good torque cam to get this truck moving, yet not have it go dead at 5200 rpm like it does now.

Thanks

No responses in 12hrs...go figure Tom. Post up a question and mention anything truck and it's like you've got the plauge or something. It's not like you asked the typical dumbass question "what's a good cam for...." and not give any other info. You provided your current mods, cam specs, and goal. Maybe its because your not asking about some big *** Godzilla **** like a 300/300 .900/.900 106LSA and a stock converter for a DD.

Seriously, the reason I posted over here was to get a little more insight than "throw a TR224 in it and have a nice day" before I do a $400 experiment.

The VEs look good for a pull motor. 5500/5700 peak
40 EVO is killer low>mid trq

I say go for it.

Excellent, I was hoping you would weigh in. I'm gonna go for it. Thanks.
