Default Newbie here.. Need Advice on a WS6

I came across a 1996 WS6 last week. My brother in law said he always sees it sittng in the garage and its never out. I drove by it and asked the homeowner if it was for sale. He said yes and from talking, we agreed on a price of $6,000...
I want to know if its a good deal with:
56,000 original miles
BBK Headers and Exhaust
Red with White Stripes
Stock wheels with good skin
Chip
3.73 Gear
Automatic
Underdrive pulleys
He said it comes with a computer that I can plug into the dash to adjust shift, fuel mixture, etc..

I know there is more but..
Needs, a new driver window button, and the radio is shorting out... No big deal to me..
The problem is he switched out the original front end and put a 2000 hood on it. Lights work good, etc..
The car needs some major TLC but nothing mechanical.
I would like to know everyones opinion on if this is a good deal or not. Thank you in advance for the replies.. I would like to go and pick it up tonight with the help of your advice..

I dont know why he told me that... He did say it was because of the headers.. I am going to reconnect it and see what happens.
As for the mileage, no he didnt really take care of it too well. He never really washed or waxed it and the wheels (stock Chrome) doesnt look too good. I think im going to swap them out for stock or aftermarket. Not sure what style though. Havent seen enough TA's with aftermarket wheels. All in all, the car needs to be wheeled, waxed and washed, very badly.. I will definatly post pics once I get the car...
Thanks guys...

Give it a good detail with something like Megiuars 3 step system. Cleaner, polish, and wax. It'll brighten up the paint, and take out minor clearcoat scratches. Check the water pump for leaks around the gasket.

Sounds like a good deal..can always get wheels,paint..etc..as long as the body/no big dents...drivetrain is good.
