Default no spark

I just got my ls1 t56 setup almost ready to run. The motor and trans is from a 2000 ws6. I have not gotten it tuned, or the vats removed from the pcm. My question is, what would cause no spark at the plugs. I got everything together on saturday and attempted to fire it like it is. It fired and ran for 15 seconds or so. I was able to do this without hiting the throttle or anything. Now I try to start it and nothing. I am getting no spark what so ever. Would the vats cause this or does it just turn off the injectors? What should I check, I want to hear it run again before I go further. Thanks, Josh

vats will fire the car, let it run for 1 second and die. Grab an ODBII scanner and pull codes from the computer. What wiring harness are you using? Check fuses, relays, etc. Does your wiring harness have a VATS module built into it? I know the painless ones do. From the sounds of it, your problem is the vats. Look at the forum's supporting vendors to find a good tuner. I used Brian at PCM for less and he did a great job and wasn't too expensive.

Default vats

The harness is one that I modified on my own. I am curious as to why the car ran, now all the sudden no spark. Like maybe the vats had to learn or something. Some people say that vats cuts off spark, some say fuel, which one is it?

I always though it cut fuel after a second or 2. Heck it may cut spark. What are you tuning with? Easiest way to eliminate the VATS is to turn it off in the pcm. If that doesnt work I would check and recheck grounds, fuses, etc. Make sure your crank sensor wires are not damaged, make sure your crank sensor is not damaged, and make sure your pcm is good.
