Should I pin my hood?

Should I pin my hood?
I run a Glasstek 4" cowl hood (bolt on) with the factory latch and stuff. I expect the car to trap about 138 MPH, should I pin the hood? If I do I would remove the factory stuff to save weight, but I like the security of the hood being locked down. On the same token, I really don't want to have to go find my hood after a pass........
Thanks for any advice!

We use Dzus fasteners in aircraft, they're pretty damn strong and don't really wear out

I have a 4" Cowl bolt-on Harwood with the stock latch on my 3rd gen and have trapped at 150+ and never had a problem. It's been on the car for 6 years and 1000+ passes.
