Default Broken Rocker, couple ?'s Pics too...

Ok so the "smoking gun" to my valve train tick is this fubar'd rocker arm. I did catch this pretty fast and have garaged it and not started it since I heard the ticking. The associated lifter roller and cam lobe look spottless, so that's kind of cool. My questions now are; would the debris from this failure along with the needle bearings cause any significant damage to anything else internally when they went down into the engine? I only found a couple of the big chunks left up in the head. All the rest went down south to vacation in the pan. Also, I have heard Harlan can do a rebuild, but is that thing rebuildable or should I just get some new ones? Money is not really a concern and I wouldn't be opposed to some new HS roller rockers if they will go on without being a bitch and are reliable. Or would OE be ok? Did the OE's ever get redesigned to be more reliable than this? I've learned alot from this site and I know this is the place to come to get all the answers about these motors, so any info from you guys is appreciated.

Gravity and oil flow should keep it out of the pushrod area so it would just go back to the pan. Unless something bazzare happened, you should be OK. Nasty N8 does the Harland rebuilds, or you could just order new ones. I think if you go with the Harland rebuild, I would just substitue a new one in the rebuild process for that one "just in case".

Like stated, they should just end up in the pan. This happens to lots of guys. The HS rebuilts are pretty nice.
