Northwest Members - Got a new best last night!

I had some launching issues.....but my last run of the night I think I figured the whole thing out!
I haven't been able to get into the 1.6's at all, then I ran the rpms up to 5200 and let off the clutch very fast (almost a clutch dump) and got into WOT quick. The nitrous kicked in out the hole and I had to let out of it, then I got back into the nitrous. Doing this gave me my first 1.64 60ft time and a best 11.015 @ 127.73mph. And that was with just the 150hp jets. I still have my 200's I need to dial in. :devil:
I got booted out for not having a cage, but at least I got a new best and a good run. The 2 previous runs were choppy with the nitrous spray. It would surge. :eek2: :confused: The last run I got a pig purge cloud from doing a good 3 second purge! It obviously helped because I didn't get any surging. :)

I got some dialing to do still! I need to get the car on the dyno with a wide band hooked up so I can monitor the A/F shile I tune for the 200hp shot (nitrous jets and fuel jets)..........then I will see 10's no doubt.
I still need to practice my launches so I can get 1.6's more often. I have been racing this car for 2 years and just now finally get it to pull a 1.6 60ft. :eek2:

It was fun to watch, suprised me with alot of 2nd gear spin I thought the run was dead. Did it get recorded on video? When will you talk to him again?

It will say EVERYTHING when you just stand there and say " they wont let me run couse I dont have a rollcage:shocked: :shocked: :shocked: !!!!! and try to Imagine what it would have looked like If you could have "nailed" everything,...........10s????

Here was my best run. It wasn't perfect, but ok for the 1st time out. I will probably call it good until I get a hardened output shaft. Then try some of those >5000 rpm launch techniques! I got warned on this run, so I am 1 run away from getting booted too. (No rollbar)

BTW, Mo didn't get my 11.0 run............that's okay, I got the time slip and learned a bit more on how to launch my car! I still have a lot to learn though.....

Nice Jon....10s are your as soon as you get it dialed in the that 200 shot. CONGRATS!!!

Congrats Jon. If we can get my tires on your car before the end of the year, a 10.xx pass will be done with current nitrous/hp setting. Just a 5500rpm clutch dump (easier on clutch compared to slipping it) and ET streets will allow an easy 1.5x launch, then a 10 se pass. Yea a good n2o purge is needed to ensure you get all the vapor/air out of the line, also remember we drilled the n2o out a tad and that'll help with your over all numbers by leaning it out a bit. Great run. :drive:
Great run for you also Chris. Not bad for first time with that combo and stock clutch. You'll also see 10's in the near future. That one run at the first of the back to backs would have been a recors run, except there was no water in the burn out box, then a terrible burn out and ensuing spin on launch. :bang: :drive:

Yeah.........I think I can get 10's with my tires and the 150 shot if I just practice! But I'm not doing anything till I get a cage. I may work on getting the 200hp shot dialed in. What I mean is go hit the dyno with A/F and fine tune the fuel jetting to get it safe then all I'll need is the cage!
I'm not going to waste anymore money just to get kicked out again. I'm cool with 11.0's anyway........hell this time last year I was running mid to high 12's. I've come a long way! Next year I'll be running 10's and the following year will come time for a whole new setup! :) :judge: :devil:
