Default Lifter installation

Just out of curiosity before i do my heads and cam is there a certain way the lifters have to go in? or is there only one way they will go in? in an ls1

i had to ask this question also, if there stock type lifters all you need is to put them in the tray, then put them in, my stockers had the oil holes going both ways throughout from the factory, so you should be fine. just make sure the trays hold the lifters tight.

what do you mean by hold them right dont they just sit in there? and so they can go both ways?

make sure you soak in oil overnight before install

so these things shouldnt tick when i put them in right or is it possible they could tick and then they stop?

hey guys i just bought new ls7 lifters and they only have one oil whole so were will it face towards the flywheel or towards the crank

ok, there is two flat sponts on the top of either side of the lifter and two flat spots in the trays to hold them from spinning.you will see when you take them out.. also im not sure if it matters wich way the holes face, as mine came both ways from the factory, some were facing the crank others werent, so im assumining they are universal in that matter. (and they too only have one hole)
