probably quite a bit, since it has the PASS/SECURITY chip in it....check dealers, they are the only ones that will be able to make one I believe.

I am not positive, but with that chip I don't know anyone else other than GM who would have the codes...doubt you can look them up.. :judge:

When you go to a dealership, you're going to have to bring your registration and driver's license to prove it's your car.
Ask me how I know. :bang:

Anyone know if the dealership will also make you a valet key if you bring proof of vehicle ownership?

its probably going to run about $70 to have them made by having to look up the codes. try home depot for a big magnet. they have ones about 2 feet accross that are on wheels. construction people use them to pick up nails and other stuff.

I think that it would be cheaper to get the key made.

the key is between $30 and $40 depending on where you go. if you don't have the key with you and they need to look it up there is an additional charge of about $30, at my dealership at least.

I guess its to late to ask where's the spare? :jest: This is why its always a good idea to have at least one spare set.

don't forget the nice price of a new fob :bang: My car still has the 2 original sets of keys :) Impressive for being the 3rd owner.

I had 2 sets of keys for my TA until the guy that cleaned our carpet stole a set :bang: I had to change the ignition just so i'd have the peace of mind that someone wasn't out there that could just walk up and drive off in my car :eyes:

ahh man that suks, but i believe by your vin number a GM dealership should be able to cut you a key. $$$ should be bout $40 for the key and whatever for the remote.. that sucks man... :barf:

a mom and pop shop in my area will make the ignition (sp) for $15. but you have to have your old key. i guess that doesn't help you much. :)

slim jim the window and hot wire the muta fuka to the pontiac dealer, lol
I went and had duplicate's made and it was like 35-40 for the engine key, went to walmart and had the other one made for .99. I don't know about if you lost them though, that might be more money.
