Pontiac GTO 2004-2006 - Lights under dash?

My buddy just bought a 06 gto and I saw it had some green lights under the dash where your feet go. What kind of light is that a bulb or a strip type of fixture. Thanks....

Thats the way they came. Its a regular bulb with a green condom on it.
