I was considering a 228r from TSP to keep it driveable but I saw too many torquer 2 cams that were pretty driveable so I stepped up. It should be noted that I live in the south and it doesn't get below 40 degrees here for the winter.

I started with MTI stealth cam to be sleeper. then found out im leaving HP/TQ on the table with my AFR heads. swapped for the mamo cam 224/228 for better TQ curve! Car just pulls so much harder and still idles smooth; cant feel a thing in the car.
match the cam to the head flow for best results

get yourself an engine dyno program, and try out each cam that you have been considering. Look at the power/tq curves. That will help alot. Here is a link to a free program that I have been using. Right click and save target as. Then follow the setup instructions. http://www.themustangshop.com/ea30.zip
It has an ls1 engine in it. You can change out the lift, duration, lsa, advance, rocker ratios, bore, stroke, compression....just about anything you can think of. You can set your dyno temp and octane for the fuel too. Hope this helps you out. It has helped me.
