Default Stock Flywheel Bolts or Crank stronger??

Hey guys,

I just pulled my tranny for a rear main seal install. I went to put the flywheel back on and torque the bolts in the 3 step torque process recommended by the haines manual. 17ft.lbs., 34ft.lbs., 74 ft.lbs. Upon starting the 74 foot pound torque 2 bolts torqued fine, then one got easy to turn, either stripping the crank or the bolt. We can't tell which is the problem.

The question is stock (M11x1.50 12.9) bolts one time use only??? I'm hoping I didn't strip the crank out. Find out more tomorrow, I used a tap and die and didn't have enough time to see if all was well or not.

I'm going to order the ARP bolts tonight, just wondering if you guys think the crank or the bolt is stronger, leading to the answer of which is messed up.

Thanks Alot guys,

Dave
