Default Oil pan/filter flow directioin?

If you remove the oil filter mount two oil passeges are there. One forward and one back (on the pan).

I've got AN fittings on these, but I'm not sure of the orientation as far as flow goes.

This is the ASA pan with AN fittings. Anyone know which is In and which is Out?

Smile Fwd Hole is oil 'Out'

Hi,
The oil flows from the pump back through the driver’s side block, and then turns down passing into the oil pan and into the outer diameter of the filter. The oil passes through the filter towards its center and flows up the pan to the forward hole of the temperature sender crossover.

So the forward hole is the ‘out’.

The oil crosses over in the sender passage and than returns up into the block.
Good luck,
Steve

Some of us (f-body guys) don't have oil temperature sensors.
You are damned lucky for owning a vette.

Easy enough to install an oil temp sender, cost you about $50 and a couple hours.
