Default DCR calculation

Need someone to compute this guy for me if they can...

stock LS1 shortblock, assume MLS gaskets, 62cc heads, IVC - 41 ABDC

8.36-1 is what I got. Figured .007 pistons out of the hole and .052 compressed gasket.

Not to sure what the other guys are doing to throw the numbers, but it should be 8.7 DCR.

How accurate is this formula? I had an old B1 that measrue 288 degrees of advertised duration. My newer B1 measures 278 degrees. According to the DCR formula this is a huge difference in trapped compression. Is the formula that accurate? My DCR (on paper) went from being fair to being GREAT! With a 62cc chamber and MLS head gasket on a stock motor.
