so say someone were to be going up to a 3000 or a 3200 stall, would a tune be required? sorry im completely new to tuning and wanna know if im gonna need to jump in to the PCM if i get a new stall

It wouldn't be mandatory - you would only want to do it for smoothing out some drivability issues, such as downshift points, etc.. in order to tighten up the feel.

Yup...not a requirement...just a comfort adjustment. The main issue with aftermarket converters is the stock lockup setings on the converter clutch is too low. It can lead to some jerky engagements while cruising around.
