thanks for the replys. Looks the like the Trak will get me where I want to be anyay. I would like to sit a 415 cam only. I have QTP long tubes, off road kooks and a slp billet so I have a good exhaust. It sounds very damn good with my G5X1 but I want to got bigger. I will also be throwing on a 90/90 set up along with what ever cam I use, and a 85 mas with a ASP underdrive so Im hoping for a pretty big pwr increase.

The tune is gonna be the determining factor in how daily driveable the car is. My buddies C5 with that cam gets driven EVERY day w/ AFR 205 (445rwhp) and idles like a champ at 800-850rpms.
IMO its one sick idle as well.

Just curious what you are looking to get out of your cam swap? It doesn't look like you are making much of a change...except for the intake lift
G5X1 - 228/232, .588/.574, 112 or 114
Trak - 231/234, .640/.590, 112
Also, is the X1 also ground 4 degrees advanced? If the Trak cam isn't ,you're moving your IVC back and losing dynamic compression.

My boyfriend's car is a TRex, all bolt ons car that is driven pretty much every day, and we live about 25 minutes from where he works. I think it runs and drives great, the only thing I could even complain about is the 3 speed in it.

I don't have the TRex cam, but my TSP 233/239 can be a D.D. no problem, but you need a good tune. Before tuning there was NO way I would want to even drive the thing on the street, but after the tune, the car runs great and idles around 850. And yes, be prepared to have everyone tell you your car sounds bad ***!
