Looks good!
I especially like the contrast of the red covers under the hood. Really "Pops"
Looks pretty tight in there, but it obviously does fit. Looks about as tight or maybe a little tighter than my Bravada (S10 Blazer).
I also appreciate the sensor taped to the MAF. Gotta do what you've gotta do to get it running & take a few hot laps.

It is lighter than an iron BMW I6, but I started with an aluminum I4 so I'm not losing any weight, although I should have better weight distribution than the MZ3's.
I don't have the fab skills to make my own kit, this was my first swap....I'm good enough to turn a wrench and study what has been done on the internet. Mike of Nash Motorsports and John of Speartech have been big helps, but I've gotta give props to www.vorshlag.com for putting the idea in my head.

did you use the 4cyl rear or did you get an "M"rear? did you reinforce the rear diff. and mounts I have heard of some of the "M" roadsters that get driven hard will rip the mounts off the body. looks like it should be fun, nice job

Joe that conversion looks really slick. Those are CCW rims? What size tires/front back and rim size? Looks like lots of tire out back for sure.
Did you make the kit including the headers.... or did you use the Vorschlag kit?
Does the steering rack remain in the stock location? Any bump steer issues?
I'm curious about what rear diff you are running and gear ratio.

Looks sweet! I had an MZ3, oh how I miss that car. I will do your conversion some day in the future...
The back bodywork looks like it is from a 6cyl car, did you swap that out?
Finally, you have got to do a more detailed writeup. This is too sweet not to!

Hi Guys-
I'll take a crack at some of the ?'s I'll jump around a bit but hopefully not miss any
- Car originally had a 1.9l 4cy
- I upgraded to early 6cyl body panels (rockers, rear fenders, rear bumper cover, and M front bumper cover)
- I upgraded to 6cyl (larger case) diff
- I used Randy Forbes rear end reinforcement kit
- Battery is moved to the back
- The kit completely reinforces the trunk floor and is made for a dual mount diff (vs single ear stock mount)
- To use this kit I needed to use an e36 M3 rear diff cover with the e30 diff
- Gear ratio is 3.73:1
- I also upgraded to IE urethane subframe bushings (and IE motor mount bushings)
- Headers are from Nash Motorsports
- Motor sits TIGHT to the firewall with most of the motor behind strut towers
- Stock steering linkage is left in place
- Wheels are CCW Classic (street model)
- 18x8.5" front with 245/40 (need 245/35 or 235/40 for better fit though)
- 18x10.5" rear with 295/30
- Brakes are 4 piston Wilwood's with e46 M3 rotors (12.9")
- Mustang hydroboost mc
- Stock BMW clutch mc
- Centerforce dual friction 12" clutch
- LS6 intake
- GM Hot Cam
- LS6 valvesprings
- LS6 valley cover and PCV mod
- SLP hardened pushrods
- ASP crank pulley
- Speartech harness
- Aeromotive FPR
- Magnaflow mufflers (and x-pipe)
