Default Pushrod size for TSP 228R

Just wondering if this cam requires 7.400's or longer pushrods. BTW, this is will be on stock 5.3 heads.

7.400's should work perfect.

tib, i would call up tsp just to make sure.
we put that cam in a ls1 and had a tapping noise. (it took way to many turns to get the rockers to zero lash). the pushrods were too short (7.4's) so they sent the 7.425's. i think the heads were milled though. can't remember.

If the heads are milled then i would look into measuring for the pushrods, but if they are unmilled the 7.400's will work just fine.

7.400 will work, but a lot of guys are running the 7.425's to make up for the smaller base circle of the aftermarket cams. FWIW, this is what I did. If your heads are milled, then you would actually need to go smaller like a 7.350, but measuring is always a good idea.

I used the 7.40 and my heads were milled .20 off. I used the 228R cam
