User Support & Resources - Sig Pic Max Size?

Seriously... 550x175 vs 550x150 is that big of a deal???

and also it would just seem much more friendly if a PM was sent explaining the edit and reason, instead of just a nice surprise.

175 > 150 .. that is the deal.. PM's have been tried, people ignore them and claim "I never saw it." We've heard just about every angle, and it seems the big hammer approach is the only one that garners the proper response.

It would be nice to know how such a small size difference has an impact on the board.

We have 75,000 members and only a few mods in comparison.
Every approach imaginable has been tried and nothing has worked so far.
As a result, sigs just get wacked.

Perhaps our members should take a proactive role and read the stickies that
outline this stuff. :confused:

the importance of rules and abiding by them...and not bitching about them. ;)

Stop bitching and follow the fucking rules.

I think I'm going to stay out of the user support section for a while. Too much idiocy in here, I don't want it seeping into me.

I'm also surprised that someone in uniform would question rules and proactive control over things. A limit has to be set somewhere, and our limits are 500 x 150. It is our guideline, and we enforce it. We do not send PM's asking it to be removed, because that would depend on when someone logged back in. They could have some new huge sig pic floating around in 1000 replies past and present, and not log back in for a week.

As for membership, we don't have a problem there.

I did not bitch about the rule. I questioned the way in which the situation was handled. I am pretty sure that I did this in a rather straightforward and professional way.

I simply just posted a sig I already had, which appeared to be very similar to the others. But in fact it was slightly larger by 15 pixels one direction.

Im surprised it was noticed, unless one was actively on a seek and destroy mission.
