Any 440+ A4 cars?

Remember an auto tranny combined with a large stal will zap more power thru the driveline. However the engine is just as powerful as the same setup in M6 cars.
It's much better to aim for performance and spec as oposed to rwhp.
Also different dyno's show different results. A n/a 346ci A4 is very unlikely to make 440+rwhp on a Mustang Dyno corrected to SAE.
On a Dynojet using STD correction and no graph smoothing then it's more feasible. Although the car won't actually be anymore powerful.
Example:
440rwhp Dynojet = 411rwhp Mustang Dyno.
SAE correction and proper graph smoothing could easily see another 20+rwhp lower number.
So in reality a 400rwhp SAE corrected Mustang dyno number may well be more impressive than a 440rwhp Dynojet STD number with no graph smoothing.
Anyhow if you want that kind of number from an A4 think alongthe lines of BIG cam, GOOD heads, ALL the bolt on's, lock-up conveter and a good tune.

Right now, I'm putting down 434RW, but looking to add a FAST setup in the next few weeks to better the numbers!

Hi,
My car puts down numbers in sig. but when NLP tuned it, the car is holding back somehow, it doesn't rev in gear as fast as when it was cam only. I'm going to check to see what the problem might be, manifold leak/pushrod length etc. etc. until I find the problem. Went to the track with it and I can feel lack of the motors ability to pull through the rpm's but still went 12.00 with a real soft start pulling a 1.864 sixty. It was my first run with the ET Streets and I just wanted to get a feel for my new setup.

1999 Trans Am running a D-1SC on LS1 FLP stage 4 Tranny with a Yank 2600 (I had a SY3500, but that was pointless . . . unless your tires stay glued to the ground, way too much for the street) . . . . 523 rwhp. I just love it . . . so much fun!

The best mod is probably more cubic inches. My 99 Vette has a 427 and
makes 546 rwhp. The 4l60e is the weak link in the drive train. I've had it in
the transmission shop 3 times for major repairs.

We are hoping for around that with our combo properly tuned.
Stage II heads milled .025 (2.020/1.575) (Absolute Speed/Patriot/S&J - bastard heads assembled with all Patriot parts - Bronze guides, valve springs, custom spring seats) (S&J radius cut and hand lapped valves for better flow, and evened out the combustion chambers)
MTI X1 cam (230/227 112LSA)
Full bolt-ons
We just need to get the car tuned to see, since we are still running it on the Cam/bolt-on dyno tune...
