I have had to deal with Wheels America for the dealership I used to work at and on my personal car. I can't stand them and will never use them agian. There is a place in Cypress called Rocky Roads Refinishing that did nice work for me. They aren't close to you, but I believe they do delivery and pickup. 281-373-1486

Airline plating has done pretty good work for myself and my motorcycle buddies. They are in North Houston off airline dr.

Best wishes,

I have also used Airline Plating, they left a couple thin spots on my rims where you can see a little of the copper layer, but overall not too bad. Pricewise, every place will be about the same, no breaks there. If I had to do it again, I would try this place:

From the way they describe, it sounds like they do a very thorough job and have a good understanding of the process. Good luck!

Bright Metals of the Heights (in the Heights area, of course) does all of my chrome work.

I was well am looking for a place to re-chrome my rims. If you guys could fill us in a little about why you had a bad experience or good experience I think I could say we would appreciate it (or personally email me if not appropriate here) because this is something that neither I or fastflames would want to get burned on.

Wheels America just had terrible cust service. The finish wasn't right. They didn't want to make it right. Wouldn't give me a loaner wheel to drive on while they spend a week figuring out how to do it right. They didn't rebalance the wheel correctly. The finish never held up. I finally went to Rocky Roads cause Iwas tired of Wheels America. It cost me extra $$ out of my pocket, but I was sick of Wheels America and all the hassle. Not so much a recomendation for Rocky Roads, but a warning about Wheels America.

For the dealership we had them repair various wheels and they never came out right or always had something wrong. With those we also had hell getting them to make it right.

Not sure, but you can bet it will be expensive. A set of 18s ran about $900 for a plane jane triple-layer chrome finish. Coloring will only add more onto the bill

Ya that was what I was thinking they would be more expensive considering the size, they are Iforge 20's retro, and would look good in black chrome on my Black CTS-V
