Default Spec Stage 3 Install few questions

Hey Guys,

Well I just finished installing the spec stage 3 clutch (yeah, love it or hate it) in my 02 Z28 and had some questions. My old clutch which was also a spec stage 3 always had a high engagement point, so when I installed this one I put the shim provided behind the slave cylinder thinking it would lower the engagement point. Well it turns out it engages at the same point if not a little higher So my question is what do you guys recommend I should do? Also, the clutch slipped when I gave it some gas in a higher gear, is that normal? There is only 10mi on the clutch.

Oh and it does have the drill mod,

Thanks in advance,

Kevin D

There's nothing you can do about the engagement point. You can move it a little closer to the floor with an adjustable master (not sure it's worth the effort). Break it in and you should be good to go.

But from what I read, the clutch is not suppost to be slipping... something just does not seem right.

I would break it in good. but yea mines also doing this as well i dont like the high engagement feels like its not getting to release. i might by an adjustable master very soon i dont wanna fry my clutch from it not being fully engaged.

adjustable master wont help if its slipping already. did you reuse, turn the flywheel? sounds like maybe the flywheel is to thin now and the hydroilics cant make up the difference
